D&D 5E Video Game Worlds You Wish Were D&D 5E Settings

Probably the best DnD based computer game that is not a published setting for DnD is Fall From Heaven (From the mod for Civilisation 4).

It is not a computer game but I have always heard good stuff about the MtG world setting.

Avernum, Avadon and the Geneforge world. All created by the fine folks at Spiderweb Software. I think that Avernum is probably the one that fits best since it the one that seems to be most straight forward heroic fantasy, but they're all great game with fantastic worlds.

Jeff does some fine work. Had the pleasure of gaming with him a few times when he was still on the East Coast - very animated and creative DM. And because of that I know that faerie barf looks like sparkles.

On that note I always wished they published that Sigil thing from Planescape: Torment. I always though it would make a totally awesome TTRPG. :o

You joke, but I'm still waiting for a map of the damn city that doesn't repeat itself. You wouldn't catch TSR trying to pull that crap with Waterdeep or Greyhawk.

The Witcher. Technically a book series and a video game series.

They did a Polish RPG a while back IIRC. Would make an amazing gritty fantasy setting.

Thedas. Because I'm not sure I'll ever be able to convince my group to try the actual Dragon Age RPG.
Yep Thedas/Dragon AGe for me. As it happens Bioware kind of brought out a system neutral campaign setting for it: Dragon Age World of Thedas Vol 1. It's bloody great. I run my Thedas-ish game with that and the wiki.

I had a peak at the Dragon AGe RPG but prefer the fluff in the Bioware book myself.

Others I'd like to see formal 5e versions of: Guildwars world. Skyrim world. Dishonoured world (steampunk).

Ivalice, from Final Fantasy Tactics. I Would love to play in/run a game set there, but would never work on a conversion myself.

Yes, that could be a blast.

That, or the unnamed world used in the FF: Crystal Chronicles. I've often been tempted to use it (from the cheatbook maps).

Or Weyard from Golden Sun. The psionic emphasis could be a blast.

A really good cheat book is often as good as an official campaign setting. Once you figure out a conversion system for enemy stats, it gets even better. Unfortunately it is still a lot of work.
