Ooh! No question, I'd want a Sequin Land campaign setting. For those who are unfamiliar, it is the world in which WayForward's
Shantae series (a metroidvania platformer) takes place, and it's this awesome combination of Arabian Nights and swashbuckling, with an occasional dose of steampunk.
The human civilizations of this world were originally protected by the legendary genies, but now they've vanished, their half-genie children their only living legacy. The land is now ruled by powerful barons, and the sea by a fearsome pirate queen with a robotic ship. Relic Hunters seek out forgotten knowledge of a bygone era (such as the construction of steam engines or the ritual for trapping a genie in a lamp) and a clan of sapient zombies travels the globe in a skeletal horse-drawn caravan. They consume coffee, or brains if none is available.
Al-Qadim is cool, but Sequin Land feels much more colorful and imaginative. A lot of hidden lore exists, so DMs could easily invent new concepts and characters for their own games fairly easily. It also doesn't take itself very seriously, which most campaign settings seem to do. I light-hearted setting could be fun! Plus, I really want an excuse to play the awesome
soundtrack the newest game has.
