Can you tell I've been told that before?![]()
LOL. Ok, ok, I hear you.
I've just so often been told how bizarre it is that most Americans barely follow news in other countries, usually only speak English, and rarely leave the country by people where hopping over to the next nation is easier than driving to the next state that I feel sometimes feel the facts of geography are less well known.
And indoor plumbing? We have maps and everything here! It's like a regular utopia!![]()
And indoor plumbing?
Well, is it Whovian--larger on the inside than on the outside? That would be a definite bonus.Eh? What's wrong with my plumbing?
If it makes it any betetr, I'm sure there are things we say or do a lot, too.
Any country-bashing aside, we in the USA have good RPG-reason to be jealous of the UK on account of Tolkien: we (or at least Fritz Leiber) may have coined the term "Sword and Sorcery," but we didn't invent halflings or "The Shire."
What's there to be jealous of? Do the UKers have special Tolkien texts that we don't?
We do. You USers aren't allowed them.
