Throw ball bearings at the enemies blocking the escape route, then long jump over them while the foes are prone?
You could try to jump over them. Most probably won't make it.
RAW states this: "you can move through a hostile creature's space only if the creature is at least two sizes larger or smaller than you. Remember that another creature’s space is difficult terrain for you... you can’t willingly end your move in its space."
As others have said, this is an optional rule on page 272 of the DMG. As with marking, though, these rules are entirely optional and only exist if you want some sort of "semi-official" way to add more rules to the game. Also as with marking, this primarily exists to add in features that had been trimmed away from previous editions.Is there really no way to get past an equal sized opponent in 5e through tumble or anything like that? I'm basically looking for the equivalent of the "tumble through enemy" application of acrobatics in 3.5e/pathfinder.
