D&D 5E [Homebrew] Shadowknight, an EverQuest-inspired class for 5E

Shadowknight was definitely my favorite class too. My main character was a SK, got him to somewhere in level 71 or 72 (can't quite remember anymore).

What you have looks pretty good, although the spell list looks a little too small, looks like it would be fun to play.

Have you ever seen the 3e Everquest book? It might be a pretty good resource for doing EQ conversions. I checked Amazon about a month ago and it is still out there for sale.

I would avoid that as base for conversion. It was pretty broken - and I'm saying this despite being a guy who doesn't care about balance. There were some interesting and goddamn strong monsters in those books, though.

why not have it detect dead as well.. it might be cool outside of combat to sense the taint of dead and how long ago something died and not just a detect undead monster ability.

as for the rest, it has a lot of similarity to the blackguard.

I have all the EQ RPG books. I even have the EQ2 Spell Guide on PDF just in case I ever decide to whip that thing out.

I'm using it as a base for the conversion, but I don't want to convert it wholesale. I want to keep the feel of the Shadowknight, but not necessarily all the mechanics therein. It was very useful for figuring out where to start for Harm Touch's damage. I"m going to look into converting over soe of those spells, too. Many of the really "iconic" SK spells, though, are baked in as class features.

Thanks for the comments so far, guys. It's appreciated.
