To be fair, even *you* couldn't think of anything to say about it. You told us you couldn't take credit and you changed the font. Is that the start of a scintillating conversation?

If you want to start a scintillating conversation, you need to ask a question, post an opinion, or raise an issue. Just like real life! What do *you* think of the image you posted?

Oh hey Morrus-nice to hear from you again after such a long break.

It really was just sort of a test feeler to see if anyone I know is still hanging around these parts--"oh there's Sialia. She used to post funny pictures. Wonder what she's up to these days/?". I recognize this is not great art---ever piece of it lifted from somewhere else--but I did participate in its creation to some extent. Mostly by advising the compositor with PhotoShop advice. Bandeeto wrote the words, so that part at least is "original," at least to the extent filks ever are.

Seriously, this was just meant in fun, as was the slightly mopey. snark about missing my old friends here.

Do I have any friends here anymore, I am wondering. Is it worth coming back?

I mean where else can I post the funny story about how I mistook my d20 for a malted ball this afternoon and almost swallowed it?

There are limited forums for this sort of thing on the interwebs.

So really -- the question I'm asking is, is there anyone out there? Hellooo?

Well, I like to game, and I like to doodle about gaming related stuff.

I had some pretty long art threads here back in the day, and there was a really nice gang of folks who used to check in on my thread and give me opinions and feedback and advice and stuff, and it was really helpful and encouraging. About a decade ago I injured my arm and had to give up drawing for a long while. Early this January I started drawing again and its been coming back slowly.

Very slowly.

In January, I managed to eke out a few still-lifes of eggs and apples and mugs and things like that. It was fun, but I felt like I couldn't come back here with those things because they weren't genre related.

So I started a Tumblr blog and threw the early exercises up there, and then I reposted most of my ENworld contributions there also just to have something to put up in between the new one-sketch-a-month still life exercises. Except the Baby Pictures of the Elder Gods--for some reason I never got around to reposting those. Maybe I will at some point.

The Tumblr blog is unsatisfying, because nobody comments. I'd really like to be able to come back here, if I could come up with anything worthy.

Anyway, Bandeeto (who also used to hang around here) had this idea for the Firefly filk and he wanted a sketch for it, but I couldn't deliver the concept as he envisioned it, so I just talked him through the technique. Since he doesn't post here much anymore, I offered to post it for him. Et voila. Here we are.

I really do remember seeing the artwork you have done, I just can't remember where I saw them. Probably from the induced coma I was in.

My game likes include Pathfinder and 3.5. I am an Electrician by trad - an art and a science i it own way.

Thanks--keep me posted about the hit count--it's more than anything I've ever gotten on my other stuff and it amuses me--I'll pass it along to Bandeeto, who will be even more amused.

Tell you what-- seems like this thread isn't really the place for me to re-enter ENWorld with my own stuff. I'll try to come up with something new and resurrect one of my old art threads.

Maybe it will motivate me to come up with something more creative than roses.

(Lately, I've been drawing a lot of roses because I figured out how. Its fun working around the puzzle of making the layers overlap and concave and convex and fold, etc. But seriously, at the end of the puzzle, I've got a rose. Whooopee.)
