D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

So, the newer versions just have a single button in the top that says "show extra features" but it doesn't seem to want to do anything on my tablet, and that's where all functions I need to make the font visible and not strike through lines are. I haven't downloaded a version between 4.7 and now, and the new one looks great, but the option buttons are inaccessible to me.

Some bugs (7.5), and a feature request.

Bug: In the inventory section, if you click 'insert line', and then try to insert a line again on that same spot, you won't be able to do it.

FR: In the 'total weight' calculation, if you could have a sort of pop-up section with boxes that could be ticked on or off, asking you what weight you want to count, that would be awesome. Weight's been bothering me for a while now, but since the party found a Handy Haviersack in the last session, weight's been on our minds. I figured I'd think a bit more about weight, and the options I have in mind are:

[ ] 1. Weapons and Armor listed on page 1. This, combined with a hidden editable field for weapon/armor weights, would be AMAZING and would save a buttload of space in the inventory.
[ ] 2. Ammo from page 1. This would require some more thought on implementation however and likely need a redesign of ammo space. But this would save half a buttload of space on the inventory, for a total of a buttload and a half of saved space. I made a mockup below for what this could be like.
[ ] 3. Page 2, left column
[ ] 4. Page 2, right column
[ ] 5. Page 2, attuned magical items.
[ ] 6. Page 3, left column
[ ] 7. Page 3, right column
[ ] 8. Coins.
(...)
I really like this idea! I will implement this for sure. Just currently I'm very busy with moving, so please don't hold your breath for such a big implementation. One thing I'm not (yet) sure about, is your idea for the ammo section. I like the current icons and I would like to incorporate them. Maybe, in the dialog, just have checkboxes for the four different types (and a drop-down menu for what the arrows stand for, arrows/bolts/darts)

There have been a lot of changes since v4.7. From v6.0 onwards, I have moved the calculations from fields to document-level functions. A byproduct of that move is that the mobile versions of acrobat reader (for iOS and android) no longer have any of the calculations.

You didn't say which version of Acrobat or what OS you are using, but I'm assuming it's either iOS or android, considering it is a tablet. For those platforms I have added the 'flatten' button. The idea is that you edit the sheet on a Acrobat version with full support for JavaScript (so Acrobat for Windows or Mac OS), flatten it, and export it to your iOS/android version.

I would really like full support on all platforms for all the features I've made, but unfortunately Adobe is yet to deliver on their promise to bring JavaScript support to Acrobat Reader for mobile devices. As Adobe also hasn't made public what is and is not supported for Acrobat Reader for mobile devices, it is very hard to make something that will work on it. Hope you understand.

My mockup is limited by space on that section, and preserving 4 ammo slots. Getting rid of the "red attack" box, or any other attack boxes (do we really need 5 attack boxes in total?), or cutting it down to fewer ammo slots would likely free up some room. Like with three ammo slots instead of four, you could bring back ammo icons.

I totally forgot to reply to this. This is not a bug, but intentional. You'll notice that "Insert line" is greyed out for every line that is empty. This is because the code looks for the next empty line, and moves all content down until that line. If the selected line is already empty, the code would only find the first line and do nothing.

Yes, I am on the iOS. So is there no longer a way to adjust the font sizes and removes excess lines from the multi-line text boxes?

Frostbite and Thunderclap: Oh, yeah! I wonder why I was thinking that they did. We haven't gotten the chance to use them yet, so they haven't stuck in my mind too well.

Headbomb: Oh, yes, that would be perfect! Great design, man! I award you 1.5 buttloads of EXP!
Also, is that a masterwork longsword that I see? That's a house rule, right? I see nothing of masterwork gear in 5E. What's your table's rule on making masterwork gear?
Also, I can't really agree with having fewer attack boxes. In older versions, martials would just pick one or two weapons that they liked, and it didn't much matter. As long as their choices weren't 100% bogus, there were few times in the game, if any, in which they would face enemies that resisted their favored weapons, and/or they'd always just watch their overpowered casters blow everything up in one or two spells when such an enemy was present. With 5E's rebalances and increase in the number of creatures that resist or are weak to particular types of damage (made all the more significant by such circumstances as running into many reskins/customs, being in an undead-heavy or ooze-heavy campaign, et cetera), it actually makes sense for characters to walk around with a veritable golf bag of weapons, especially when there isn't a party combat-ender wizard.

Bsq2: I'm on a Kindle Fire HD, and the sheet doesn't work at all. No matter what I type, no matter what I select, after I save the file and copy it to my tablet, my tablet shows a blank, fresh sheet. At least you have functionality on yours. I use my laptop at the table. Sorry, but I saw your problem as soon as I read the word, "tablet."

Short answer: no. Long answer: you can on a computer that uses Adobe Acrobat Reader (so not the one for mobile devices), like a computer with Windows or Mac OS. There you can use all the functions, set up the sheet as you want it, flatten it for tablet use, and use it on your tablet with those setting. Then when you want to level-up your character, you can go back to the full Acrobat Reader, un-flatten, change things, and repeat.

"Also, is that a masterwork longsword that I see? That's a house rule, right? I see nothing of masterwork gear in 5E. What's your table's rule on making masterwork gear?"

House rule, yes. MW Weapons give +1 to attack rolls, as they did in 3.5. MW Armors are 75% of the original weight. MW Shields give +1 to shield bashes, and other offensive maneuvers that directly rely on shields. Base cost is an extra 300 gp for Weapons and Armor, 150 gp extra for shields.

The MW property is usually independent of +1/+2/+3, but the bonus doesn't stack. So a +1 Sword and a +1 MW Sword is the same thing combat-wise, except the +1 MW sword is worth a bit more when you sell it. Likewise, a +2 Armor weighs more than a +2 MW Armor. A +2 Shield doesn't give you the +1 attack bonus to shield bashes, but a +2 MW Shield would.

We do this to make low-level items a bit more varied and rewarding, while letting enemies resistant to 'normal weapons' remain challenging for a bit longer. Our first magic piece of weapon/armor found was at level 5 I think. We're level 6 now and we've got 3 party members with magic weapons, mine being a Longsword of Vengeance +1 (cursed item that gives you disadvantage when wielding any other weapons, and makes you go beserk when you take damage if you fail a DC 15 Wisdom save).

We have a cleric in our party that uses the spell 'Sacred Flame'. It's a cantrip that scales with level. I noticed it's not in the weapon/attack section. Could the weapon/attack section include any and all attack cantrips? Or is this because that section is reserved for casters only?

Morepurple has already stated that any attack spells that use a saving throw mechanic rather than a to hit mechanic will not be on the weapon/attack section.
