Marilith Reactive Ability

The Reactive ability allows the Marilith demon to take a reaction on every turn of combat instead of the normal one per round. Mariliths also possess the ability parry which allows them to add +5 to their armor class as a reaction to being targeted with a melee attack.

Now lets say we have a Marilith with 1 level of sorcerer or wizard, this enables them to cast shield which also grants +5 to armor class as a reaction. Since Mariliths can use a reaction every turn of combat could a marilith use the shield spell on one turn and then the martial ability parry on a subsequent turn bringing her +10 armor class? Would be really exciting if this was the case.

Yep, that's how the rules work, Giving shield to a Marilith is a significant buff though, it would bump her defensive CR up a fair bit.

I made an NPC 18th level wizard(abjurer) who has Shield as his 1st level spell he can cast at will, and MAN is that huge. His 2nd level is Misty Step. The combo is pretty sweet, and really makes me wish I could play him as a PC. Abjurationists are pretty badass, didn't really get all the synergies until I made one as a prop device NPC.
