D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Princes of Elemental Evil

A gap of twenty feet separates the ledge where the path ends from the closed drawbridge on Feathergale Spire. The space between the cliff's edge and the gatehouse drops several hundred feet to the bottom of the canyon. Near the ledge, a brass bell hangs from a wooden post.

It seems quite obvious that your approach is being watched from multiple vantages, but nothing makes any hostile gestures towards your approach.

Thaliss approaches the void, and mumbles a few arcane words as he walks. He then coughs a bit to warm his throat up, and says "I am Thaliss of house Eviastarim. These are my retainers. I have been told that young nobles seeking fame and fortune are welcome here. Will you let us enter?"

A small window is opened at the base of the tower. A female voice calls out. "My name is Savra Belabranta, well met. You have come on a fortuitous afternoon. Today is the day we shall celebrate ten years of the Feathergale Society. Our halls are open to you and your retainers."

The drawbridge is lowered. The gate is opened.

The entrance is a thirty-foot-long hall of white stone. At the opposite end of the hall are two twelve-foot-tall doors like those of the entry gate.
An eagle carved from a massive timber hangs from the far side of the ceiling, suspended on strong chains. Slender wings of steel sweep close to its sides. Its head is also fashioned of steel.

A human woman in somewhat knightly attire with long curly reddish brown hair stands with two robed initiates across the drawbridge. She looks no older than twenty. A single slender longsword is at her side.

"I shall escort you to see the Lord Captain."

Tolan examined the human woman professionally, wondering if her skill backed up her accouterments. He waited for Thaliss to respond, dutifully playing his role as a retainer. He did his best to get a read on the demeanor of their hosts.

When near the woman, Thaliss says "Well met, lady Savra. Indeed, we rejoice that the gods have smiled upon us and that we are here for the celebration. I aopologze for my ignorance, but I have not heard of this Feathergale Society, can you tell me a bit more?"

The woman looks at you and pauses... quite surprised. "We are an elite group of aerial mount enthusiasts from Waterdeep, dedicated to doing one's duty for the realm. I'm sure Thurl could find better words for it."

In a somewhat dismissive manner, to hopefully change the focus, Thaliss says "Apologies, I did not make the link. We've been travelling a lot, and I must be more tired than I thought. So tell me, is Thurl the leader of the Feathergale Society?"

"We'd heard of knights, and a spire called Featherdale," Maighan supplies deferentially. "The term 'society' is new. Is this a knightly order? Or something else entirely? I know our master Thaliss has been very curious."

"Oh my." The female member of the society ponders for a moment. "Perhaps I can help. The featherGALE... society is something in-between at the moment. This tower predates our order, but our founders cleared this tower of monsters and claimed it rightfully as their own some years ago. Since then, some highborn and some lowborn members have joined the society for sport or justice. Truth be told, some of our largest contributors are fans of hawking and hunting more than justice, but since our new Captain has come into command we have expanded our order to fight against villainy and banditry around the Dessarin valley. In the long term, we seek to establish a vanguard against dangerous sorts..." She ponders something... "Some of you seem to wear badges of... connection... with that guild of sorts? What is your allegiance there?"
