D&D 5E does Daylight make daylight?

I would think of "Daylight" as being the kind of light that comes through a window during the day, which is not the same as direct sunlight.

Looking for any scientific reason for some light to harm vampires and other light not to is not only an exercise in futility, but--IMO--completely misses the point of the vampire mythology. Sunlight harms them for mystical and spiritual reasons, not due to any factor that can be measured.

I was kidding (mostly*)... but the "UV harms vampires" thing has been done before.

*Old D&D had infravision instead of darkvision, though, and at least 1E had 'ultravision' too. So at least back then IR/UV were things that existed in the D&D multiverse.

Oh it can be measured. 20 radiant damage per turn. Thats a fairly precise measurement. :D
