D&D 5E Recommendation: Handy (and sane) D&D 5e magic item pricelist

When a PC wanted to browse wands, for example, I was able to offer a selection of fine wands within their price range :)

Yeah, I appreciate the effort put into it. For people who need this kind of thing I can see the value. I question some of the conclusions as well, though. Then you get to the last page and see his explanations for some of the "Items That Won't Be Priced" and you have to roll your eyes a bit.

Sure, everyone will draw lines in different places. But it was a very handy quick reference when I needed one.

Prices seem to low to me. Cool effort but one thing I like about 5e is removing magic item shopping for the most part.

Sure - but when your PCs are in a city and want to trade in some stuff (or get some enhancement to shore up a weak aspect of their character) then it's nice not to have to totally hand wave it. :)

I know that everyone draws lines differently... but, jeez. Staff of fire and wand of paralysis get the same price, and that just boggles my mind when the prices were supposedly set based on the impact the items have on the game. And that is just one example of many where I read them and am thinking "wait... what?" for more reasons than just that everything is incredibly inexpensive across the board.

Magic items should have a sell price a buy price not so much.

If the PCs look hard enough or go to an auction yeah maybe but they should not be able to get exactly what they want by waltzing into town and buying what they like.
