In that case, GURPS is the ultimate system! It has been going strong for 30 years (1986) and has a gazillion-and-nine splat books! The d20/3rd edition system ain't got nothing on that!

Is that not impossible? Surely a gazillion splat books should mean it is up to googleplex Edition?

Not being able to buy an Electronic version of the PHB is pretty damning evidence.
So then what is this website I have seen around? Not to mention this Dragon+ thing, the Twitter accounts, pod casts, hosted basic rules set, and DMGuild? These things aren't on the internet?

Well, that was fun

Nonsense.

WotC sells hundreds of old D&D PDFs, uses Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit extensively. It produces YouTube and Twitch videos and podcasts constantly. It has a massive online store selling fan based material. It has no problem with the Internet.

Why you can't get 5E PDFs? Because of the retailers, not because WotC is scared of intrawebs.

They have greater retail penetration than any other RPG company on the planet; they also consequently have more distribution restrictions than any other RPG company on the planet.

But, man, WotC does not have a problem with the Internet. Well, most of it.

Thank you, Morrus, it is nonsense exactly. WotC using a decades old strategy to sell decades old products. It is not 1995 now, retail penetration does not mean as much as it used to in the pre-Amazon era.

Dragon + is like a poor mans version of the Dragon. I dont know if using it to support your argument helps you as much as you imagine considering that even TSR had Dragon pdfs.
