D&D 5E Warlock Magic Item Christmas Wish list

Starting a new Storm Kings Thunder campaign and the DM wants us to create a wish list of magic items for our characters.
I'm playing my first 5E Warlock and I'm looking for suggestions on which items to include on my wishlist.

The obvious choices for a Warlock are:

Rod of the Pact Keeper +1/+2/+3 to spell attack rolls and DCs, and 1 extra spell slot a day

Tomb of Leadership and Influence
+2Cha that can go above 20

I should also mention that he's an Aarokocra and started off at level 1 as Barbarian, so he has martial weapons and shield proficiencies.
Although he has armor proficiency he avoids wearing armor, but uses a shield.

Well, what kind of warlock are you making? What do you imagine them doing, and what role are they playing in the party? Are you the kind of player that enjoys doubling down on things that you are already very good at, or do you enjoy expanding the array of options available to you?

wishlist... how does this work? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but say (to take something straightforward) if you are a fighter and you want a magic sword, does increased power means it takes longer to get it? If not why not say "vorpal" every time?

Ye gods, please don't wish to end up in the Tomb of Leadership and Influence!

I don't think it does what you think it does ;)

Ask for a magic item that'll double your # of available spell slots.

Is there a 5E magic items that does that, or would I be asking for a custom homebrew item to do so ?

The party consists of a Goliath Barbarian, a Gnome Barbarian, a Dwarven Warpriest, a Human Mystic, and my Aarakocra Warlock. He's pretty much the only ranged attacker in the group, and I planned on flying and blasting at range as much as possible, but he is not terrible in melee. I'll be going bladelock for his path, as a few rituals or a familiar, do not excite me.

In general I like to double down on something until I'm excellent at it.

The safe bet would be to ask for a magic shield and melee weapon that doesn't suck, like a Flame Tounge Blade, but I was hoping there were more things that are perfect for a warlock/bladelock that I wasn't aware of, due to my inexperience playing one.

It's really to give the DM ideas for items we want, instead of rolling random items. The DM still decides when it's appropriate for us to get items of those power levels.

It also prevents the party from ending up with random magic items no one wants or uses, which is possibly more "realistic" nut anticlimactic and not as much fun.

But yeah, if you are really into playing a fighter who wants to be "Dean the Decapitator" ask for that vorpal sword. This way the DM will eventually include one, even though it may be in the hands of an enemy when you find it.

If you want to be a Gunship Warlock, take a look at the Broom of Flying...it's Uncommon, doesn't require attunement, and allows essentially unlimited flight. Winged Boots are also good, if you're not liking the witchy thing.

Bladelock isn't ideal for a gunship, but it's not critical. I'm assuming you're going Fiendlock for the good blasty spells, though it really doesn't affect magic item selection a whole lot.

I wouldn't worry too much about melee weapons. Instead see about an item that would let you escape from melee if you get cornered. Invisibility or teleportation items are good for this. You don't want to be forced to spend a warlock slot on one of those if you can avoid it.

Cloak of Protection is good. Bracers of Defense are great, if you're using the Mage Armor invocation instead of worn armor and shield. You're more likely to be targeted with ranged attacks than melee, so items that specifically work on ranged attacks (arrow catching shield and gloves of arrow snatching for example) are good investments.

Thanks, those are some great suggestions.

I went with the fiend patron because it makes sense with his back story. His tribe was wiped out by giants, and his martial prowess as a barbarian was useless against the giants. As he layed there bleeding and close to death, he was visited in a vision by a being offering him the power to get revenge agsint his hated foes, the giants. He accepts the pact and returns to conciousness to the face of the human mystic... who he secretly think may be his parton keeping an eye on him.

Long story short, he's rocking an AC 20 with shield, and has wings of his own for unlimited flight, so I can skip the flying items and the bracer of defense, but the invisibity, escape, and ranged defense ideas are all something I should look into.

I'm probably going to end up battling a greater than normal amount of giants....

Ah, GIANTS. Okay, well, most of those ranged-attack specific things won't work on things that are classed as 'siege weapons' which includes boulders hurled by giants. In THAT case take a long hard look at things like Cloak of Displacement and things that can grant similar effects. Oh, and maybe some kind of item that can do a damage type other than fire, because as a fiendlock you may have a bad time with fire giants.
