You have a right to troll others?

Voicing how I feel about a subject isn't trolling. If someone starts a thread about how WotC should make an official warlord and I don't agree... it's not trolling to disagree with them. It's not trolling to state that you don't and why (I'd rather those resources be devoted to other things... My players aren't interested in a warlord but would love more options for what we do have... I'd rather have psionics... and so on).

I don't see people saying that they want a warlord class as ranting or starting an argument.

*Sheepishly raises hand*

Oh, no, I'll cop to that one. :erm:

To be fair, it wasn't until the umpteenth time of explaining exactly the same thing that I blew my cool. But, I'll admit to the ranting.

What baffles me though, is why this same argument doesn't apply to everything else. I mean, how many people want an Artificer? How many want Psionics in the game? Why don't we see Imaro challenging every new class addition in the same way? After all, every class is class bloat. Every class has issues. No class is anywhere near as popular as the core 4, and most aren't even as popular as anything that appears in the 5e PHB.

One wonders what's special about Warlords here?

But you're not simply "voicing how you feel", you're actively being disruptive to others.

How? Please explain this to me... Posters on this site disagree and go back and forth with each other over a multitude of subjects... so how is what I'm doing any different?

EDIT: I'm not insulting anyone, I don't go into threads where they are hombrewing warlords, the only time I comment is when we hit the point where this is something WotC needs to/should/etc. publish...

Uhm... never said they couldn't... but thanks for enlightening me...
You said we should not discuss the Warlord here and to bring it up in another medium such as a petition. Well sorry but people wish to discuss it here that is why I said what I said.

What I am saying is that in this medium... someone is free to voice the side of opposition to a view if they want to. Hypothetically we could all potentially agree with a single view and you're right there would be no opposition... but how likely is that to happen? We (the general we here) differ in our views, and this is an open (as long as you follow the rules) forum for discussing them as they pertain to D&D...

What you describe is called threadcrapping, and it's just about the most obnoxiously unhelpful, crappy behavior that these boards, inexplicably, don't make against the rules.

It has nothing at all to do with discussion.

No I didn't I said if they really want an official warlord (there is a specific contingent on this site that want exactly that) posting on this site isn't going to get that done by WotC mainly because there's no evidence of anyone from WotC actively participating here. I suggested a petition being more effective. Nowhere did I say anyone couldn't discuss warlords here... Please quote where I actually said that.

Wait so now threadcrapping is choosing not to agree with someone else's views... Huh??

EDIT: You post a thread asking the question... How much Warlord do you want... and it's threadcrapping to say I don't really "want" any warlord??

I'm not saying they can't talk about warlords... where did I say that?
Sigh. I didn't accuse you of that. You and I got into a discussion when you replied to a comment I made regarding others who did. Specifically I was talking about inclusiveness, and you felt the need to comment. Feel free to go back and look at it.

Yeah that is totally what I said!
