D&D 5E Mike Mearls interview - states that they may be getting off of the 2 AP/year train.

I would like a FRCS, but do not need one per se. I am ambivalent to SCaG, as I only use it for the crunch (love that Oath of Crown paladin quite a bit), but not much else.

I think instead of a book what would be really super amazing awesome would be an online resource with wiki entries and some such that people could utilize. You could even have it editable by anyone with curators. It'd be like Pottermore for the Forgotten Realms! That way they don't have to publish a book that will inevitably disappoint some who want it more comprehensive and be ignored by those who don't want it.

The website/resource wouldn't have any crunch, just stuff you need to know drawn from all the FRCSs. Click on Daggerford to see the different demographics throughout the timeline, what the hot spots are, NPCs, and so forth.

And this: http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page I'm sure isn't sufficient ?

At the very least, they could have done an alien Anthology, and some paperback collections of class options, ie a Scoundrel's Handbook, etc.

I also think they could have explanded the game in a few ways, such as adding a ground combat equivalent to Starship Manuevers.

Next, they could have focused on Adventures, and surveyed the community for what people still felt was missing, or what could be fixed without needing a new edition.

Not to mention stuff like WEG used to do, with the Galaxy Guide books. Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments From The Rim, remains one of the best RPG books ever published, imo.

Such books could have, in addition to gear, and trivia like what music and drinks and food are popular, have deep delves into cultures, organizations, etc, including feats and talents related to being part of them. "If you are a part of the Sector Rangers, you can take talents from this Tree, regardless of class. " "Tapani Nobles can take Talents from this tree regardless of class". That sort of thing.

Apparently adventures don't sell which is why FFG seems to be staying heavily on the crunch side. The adventures are pretty light and short. Perhaps when the crunch is done they'll focus on adventures. It's going to be interesting to see how they handle the new stuff being created for the ongoing movies. A lot of new setting material and crunch is being generated that people will want in their games...

I'm not sure if it is or not, I'm not a big FR buff to begin with. Do you find it a good resource to run FR in the current timeline?

My suggestion was more for those that wanted "official" support. I just think a website resource would do a better job than a book would for updating the timeline and detailing all the little nooks and crannies they seem to want.

Agreed. I've used it a couple of times to fill in blanks from the adventures. Where's Xonthal's Tower for example? A whole chapter in RoT but never placed on a map!

It's laughable because his points are easily proven fallacious. For instance Paizo started a core book only track of Pathfinder Society to deal with this very issue.

What's that got to do with anything? it just makes handling Society easier because not everyone uses the optional rules outside of the PHB.

What point were you actually trying to make?

This has no relation to the question Mistwell asked. You should try and actually read people's posts instead of reading one or two lines and then saying what you want to say.

Is the function you'll be activating "Cancel Account"? I think that would be rather pleasant.

Nope I know exactly what Mistwell was saying and what I said was spot on. Don't butt in on conversations you have no clue about.

It's an open forum, not a private message.

If you want a private conversation go have one in a private venue. This is not that.

Actually PLEASE?

From my limited understanding of forums, the point is to get in on conversations, so it is impossible to butt into them. I may be wrong.

You still haven’t answered the one question that Mistwell asked that I am truly interested; you said that “Paizo isn’t the richest or the biggest, but they give their customers what they “all” want and they are doing just fine.”

You also said that “What separates current Pathfinder from current D&D is the fact that Pathfinder customers don’t complain about the number of products and rules because they know how to actually only buy and use what they feel they need for their own games. Sure they may not like some options, but there is always others who do.”

Now admittedly I spend more time on 5E forums than on Paizo’s, as my only use for Paizo products is to convert them to 5e, (I do feel their AP’s are better on average and the latest is really good) however there are still complaints about the system and its product, that more regular user's than I make on the forums.

Obviously I don’t think you meant that every person who plays Pathfinder is 100% happy with the product but how do you judge Pathfinder players to be more happy or content with their system than 5E players? I’m not saying you’re wrong; I am just trying to figure out how you come to that conclusion?
