That looks fantastic. Loved DD1, and first half of DD2, loved JJ, loved first half of LC, thought IF was so-so. Combined, I think I'll love it.

IMO, Luke Cage was the strongest of the set, start to finish. Yes, the first half was better than the second half in some ways, but Shades more than made up for the loss of Cottonmouth, imo. I just wasn't nearly as impressed with Diamondback as the writers seemed to be. I loved when he asked Shades if he had forgotten who he was talking to, and Shades was like, "have you?"


But yeah the defenders should be good, in spite of the fact that Iron Fist was...meh.

I loved Cottonmouth...he was a far more compelling villain than Diamondback. In fact, that's what made the first season of Daredevil and Jessica Jones so interesting for me; the villains. Vincent D'Onofrio and David Tennant were superb as Kingpin and Kilgrave. Daredevil season 2 didn't really have one, and while I greatly enjoyed Madam Gau in Iron Fist, even her strengths could not rescue the series from poor writing.

Sigourney Weaver's villain looks to be as interesting as Kingpin and Kilgrave, so I actually am really looking forward to this series.

I like the set up for Jessica and Matt (and Misty) and then Claire bringing in Luke as Comic Relief, the skill sets for those three compliment each other and we know they are credible combatants in the war for New York City

sadly Iron Fist is kinda superfluous

wasn't keen on Electra the first time round, but hopefully as a lieutenant for Sigourney Weaver she works better, I do hope Kingpin shows up too.

and yes other than Diamondback Luke Cage had the best characters and was the most stylish, Kilgrave and Kingpin have been the outstanding villains

I just hope Daredevil actually gets into his damn costume at some point. I want to watch a superhero team-up show with freakin' Daredevil not the adventures of Matt Murdock the ninja lawyer and friends...

This Iron Fist has been disappointing thus far. He should be funny, kinda a dork, but wise, and believable as an extremely well trained martial artist. And he just isn't any of those, IMO.

Still, the interaction between him and the other characters shows some sliver of potential in the trailer. I hope he does some damn training so he actually looks and carries himself like he knows what a kata is.

Also, Luke Cage was one of the best seasons of tv I've watched in at least a few years. Especially the use of music. I've never seen a show do that anywhere near as well as they did in Luke Cage. And sadly, Diamondback was kinda uninspiring, but I think he was the only character in the whole season who was anything less than exactly on point.

I do hope that Misty isn't just there to intro Jessica Jones and accidentally introduce her to Matt, though. Also, hopefully Colleen Wing shows up again in Defenders.

Probably not, it looks like Defenders is mainly spinning off from the Daredevil 2 'Electra/Hand' storyline and there's nothing in Iron Fist that changes that much.
