D&D 5E (2014) Spell Cards for D&D 5E using Magic Set Editor (MSE)

I'm having the same issue as EvanNave55. After i hit "Download all files" I extracted each one to the MSE\data folder.

I also tried reinstalling with 0 templates from MSE; Only your templates. Same error as before. I feel like I'm close..Any advice?

EDIT: I might have figured it out. It seems that extracting the zip file "Spellbook.mse-game" into \data made a Folder in a Folder (example: C:\Magic Set Editor 2\data\Spellbook.mse-game\Spellbook.mse-game).

Once i deleted the redundant folder (example C:\Magic Set Editor 2\data\Spellbook.mse-game) the cards seemed to populate in MSE correctly!

I have a new style I am putting the finishing touches on. These are large sized (double the standard card size) spell cards. This style is intended to allow more card space to place long spell descriptions without shrinking the font to an unreadable size. User feedback is important to make this style useful to you, so let me know what you think of the new style and what changes I should make to the layout of the card. (Shapechange is one example of a spell with a long spell description) The last card is the standard spell card for size and layout comparison.

This time it's ray of frost, mags hand, magic missile, sleep, etc.

o.k. Part of the problem is the default dpi resolution of MSE. It is set at 150dpi. This, I believe, was an agreement to prevent the creation of high quality counterfeit cards for magic: the gathering cards. For most artwork, the pixelation that would occur at 150dpi is not clearly noticeable and the cards are still visually pleasing and acceptable to print and play with. However, with the simple design, the pixelation is not hidden by card textures.

But there may be a way around it for a higher dpi card. It may require some additional reformatting of card images. I'll add it to the queue of projects and see if I can get the pixelation resolved.

If that is a limitation of MSE, that's fine. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't an issue why my file/install. I'm going to guess that this is the same on all styles?

Edit: so I just went back and it looks fine now. I could have been an issue as I'm a VM.
