D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

Fistan, Wizard 3

Fistan nudges Bethany, explaining what he's seen, "Not that I want to draw in more goblins, but you and I might be able to clear that tunnel and attack from the north west." He says pointing to the tunnel Rilix has just gone down.

OOC: Unless there are serious objection to this plan Fistan will carry it out. If Bethany says not to then Fistan will ready an action to attack anything that comes down the tunnel Rillix just explored.

OOC: Where is Bethany in initiative?

"We need to divide and whittle down the number of enemies, striking to the northwest is as good an opportunity as any," says Bethany, moving towards the northwest tunnel.

OOC: splitting the party, especially with two ogres... Not a good idea IMHO. Keep an eye on the tunnel, but don't go there by yourselves. My 2 cents, you're ofcourse free to play as you want :-)

OOC: Khul sees no sign of attack, but the ogre in the mud-bath has gone away. Might be a good time to murder some goblins.

We need to get the party together, not further apart! I just think it would be good to whittle the ogre down a bit before risking getting hit by it. I just don't have much in the way of ranged attacks. (And we sould probably discuss in ooc thread. Oops!)

Sorry about that. I've added you after Fistan to keep the conversation going. Does she want to use her full movement down the tunnel?

No sign of an attack, but about to hear some ogre screams.
As soon as he does, Tranio, lets loose a beam that cuts a goblin to the core.

OOC: To hit: [roll0]. If a hit, damage = [roll1]. (I don't think there's adv/disadv, but if there is (from targeting, or from darkness (Tranio has dark vision), use [roll2].

HP: 21 AC 17. Spellslots: 4/2
Chill touch: 1d20+5, 1d8 (x2)
Cure wounds: 1d8+3.

Ogre A: Screams in pain as the arrow and dagger pierce him. The creature reaches into the cavern, but can't get his hands on anyone. The glowing light of Tranio's magic is all it takes to distract the dumb beast and it storms off to engage the death cleric. Goblin A and Goblin E yell at the creature, wanting it to still guard the tunnel.

Ogre B: Blood pours down the female ogre's neck, but the blow was not lethal. The creature pushes out of the dirt as if it was nothing and now stares down at the dwarf, rage in her eyes.

_: 1D20+4 = [17]+4 = 21

Goblin B: The spectral hands wraps around the unsuspecting archer and squeezes. The little green creature screams in pain before tumbling off the cliff to it's death.

Goblin C: Is startled by the sudden flurry of activity in the cavern, but manages to get off an arrow shot on Tranio. It hits his leg for 5 damage.

Goblin H: The creature heads down the tunnel with his back to the wall, apparently trying to spy on the large room at the end. He sees the heroes down the hall and unexpectedly smiles. The goblin begins in a strange series of pantomimes with his free hand. As best you can tell he is mimicking the chieftain crown and then a throat slitting motion, followed by a thumbs up.

Ordrar shrugs internally as his makeshift barricade doesn't stop raging giantess. He wings up and swings at her exposed belly, quickly retreating between the rocks. With little luck she will not be able to move immediately after him.

The dwarf moves toward the exit, knowing he will suffer as archers target, but not willing to run behind the ogre and risk being trapped between two of them. Besides, maybe he manages another strike. He is surprised to see an elf running into the cave. But right now, he will take the help even from long-ears.

[sblock=Actions]
Action: Attack; Club damage; Booming damage: 1D20+5 = [6]+5 = 11
1D8+3 = [2]+3 = 5
1D8 = [2] = 2
- I'm guessing a miss, unless she sleeps (nearly, I hope) naked

Move: Diagonally down toward the exit (ending SW from #1 ) - the idea is to cause ogress to get into the open, trigger booming damage and maybe surprise the male as he goes out
Reaction: Shield spell if ogress takes opportunity attack adding +5 AC TENT

Tranio feels the arrow in his leg, and he regrets leaving his protective cover. Fortunately, while it seems to be bleeding, the arrow has not ledger in his calf. It is then that he notices the small figure in amongst the central stones in the chamber. "Ill try to draw them off," he shouts, catching sight of a narrow fissure in the rock into which he thinks he can fit, but an ogre could not. At top speed, he heads for the easternmost point in the cave.

OOC: Tranio had been trying to stay outside and with cover. Given his present position, he will try to draw one or both of the ogres to the east side of the cavern by moving to the rightmost visible square (or one further, if permitted) to get out of line-of-sight of the archers and to draw in the ogres.

Move/Dash. No attack.

HP: 16 (down from 21) AC 17. Spellslots: 4/2

Fistan, Wizard 3

Fistan continues his move along the corridor. Knowing there is a swarm of rats in the cavern he begins to chant his arcane words, "seimrod tu". A gentle noise fills the air in the cave and the rats start to drop off into sleep.

[SBLOCK=Actions and Rolls]
Sleep HP roll: 5D8 = [8, 3, 7, 2, 5] = 25

Move: As far as necessary to get LoS to the rats.
Action: Cast sleep
Special: Use a luck dice to force a re-roll if a critical hit on Fistan occurs.
Rillix will help Bethany.
