The amusing thing is that Paizo did this about a decade ago, for the same reasons, and the world didn't explode.

Didn't explode then, didn't explode now.

One person basically said "I agree with what you did, but don't think you should have done it the way you did it."

Which I think is kinda silly (once I realized that is what they were saying), but definitely not worth all the hand wringing and vitriol that has been going on.

Interesting this discussion is still ongoing on a day when the President of the United States signed an order barring transgender from the military I serve in.

Spending one micron of brain matter contemplating whether Crawford didn't use the exact right way to claim "gay people exist!" when the President of the United States is trying to destroy my shipmates' careers seems like misplaced indignation.

I know the forces I fight to make my country a better place. It's not Jeremy Crawford.

We aren't supposed to talk about politics here. Hopefully I'm not crossing the line when I say that I feel the sensitivity over this issue is not unrelated to recent events in America.

People are on edge and feel threatened. There may be an urge to take a stand, when they can, where they can.

No but you had plenty of homophobes making the same arguments there as are being made here: that the game materials shouldn't be politicized. Funny how it's always inclusion of minority groups that gets labeled an agenda or political and not their exclusion. That's privilege for you. If the exclusivity of the privilege is threatened, there will be backlash.

So? If you can't make your point without using loaded terms for the motives behind editorial decisions with which you disagree, then maybe the point isn't worth making.

I'll tell ya what. Let it happen to you and then we can talk? How's that?

Let's pray that the fool doesn't cause too much damage & that God willing is a 1 term (or less) president.

Yep, the classic 'be gay all you wan't but don't stick it in my face'.

Which is really 'your existence is revolting to me, so keep hiding so I can avoid dealing with my feelings'.

...shrouded behind the most disingenuous nitpicking about 'propaganda', 'freedom', and the like.

It's utterly transparent.
