Yes. This is what I was hoping SCL was going to be ... if the next D&D movie is a success, maybe they'll take another crack at the video game market.

Yes, please. People are going ga-ga over the DM mode in Divinity 2 - I can only imagine a 5e- based game with a live-play mode would go pretty well.
Too bad SCL crashed and burned. It had great potential on that front.

If it gets more people into D&D, then it's a good idea.

Why would you want to afflict anybody else with this addiction???

You, sir, are a sadist!

You wish to torment innocent people with non-sensical rules and endless forum debates over the best character creation method? That qualifies you for an Alignment shift towards Lawful Evil!

PS - I also voted yes. I guess that makes me a bad person too. ;-)

The biggest issue is that Has to isn't commissioning these games, the designers come to them for a lisence. Limits AAA possibilities, since there isn't a company invested in the IP like Atari was when NWN happened.

Pillars of eternety are pretty much 3.5e with a small twist.

And 2nd game is coming out next year.

Don't know exactly the details, maybe they will make it more 5e like-ish?

Isn't there an NWN Enhanced Edition coming out soon?

There is! I'm hoping they fix the bug with not being able to make new ammunition types. So we can finally put guns in the game without all of the weird workarounds we've come up with. Or go over the max limit of spells without needing to make some weird spellbook thing.

No, at the moment I wouldn't buy it if it was NWN-style or WoW-style, but I would buy it if was turn-based.

NWN is technically turn based under the shell when you get into combat

I never played NWN, but I still want to say that I'd like to see a D&D 5e video game with combat by-the-rules (turn-based, not real time). I don't really need an editor / possibility to DM. Instead I want a story on par with the official adventure paths as well as the possibility to play with multiple players of which each can play 1-6 characters (total of 7).
