Well, of the ones in the series? Rey.

But, I'm looking forward more to Rey and Kylo's child. I want to see if the Skywalker Emo Gene hits a fourth generation. I mean, think about it... Anakin was whiny. Luke was whiny. Kylo is whiny. It seems every blood male member of that family gets beaten by the Emo Treant once puberty hits.

Overall, I think i like Kylo Ren best. In TFA, he seemed to be a Vader wannabe (in-universe), which seemed like a good way of avoiding having to create a villain more threatening or evil than Vader.
In TLJ, he seems to have grown beyond that. And Adam Driver is doing a good job portraying him IMO.

I think him taking the mask off was a really good move - he doesn't need it for any reason, it seemed it was just clinging to an old tradition or the ideal of his grandfather.

Rey is a sympathetic person, and in TLJ she seems to get more agency. She was pretty bland. Maybe that's the point, people can project themselves on her like a canvas. But I think the easy with how she learns to use the force doesn't quite fit to what we've seen before. Luke at least had to spend a training montage and a few scenes with Yoda and Ben to get the hang of enough tricks to not get utterly murdered by Darth Vader when he first confronts him. (And Anakin went from pre-teen to adult between Episode I and Episode II).

I really like Kylo Ren as well. I would have liked to have seen them making another Stormtrooper joke at his expense in the new movie. But overall its mostly Adam Driver's performance that is really selling this character to me.

For TFA I would of gone with Rey but as of TLJ I've lost much connectivity with her because she's such a cipher. She seems like a nice person but there's not much more than that to her other than her revulsion for Ben Solo for what he's done. My major gripe is that she hasn't earned her capabilities from being a trash picker to extraordinarily powerful Force adept over the course of something like a week and seems unaffected by the dangers of the Force (Dark Side). It's just too much for me to let go after 40 years of exposure to Star Wars lore.

After TLJ my choice is Snoke. I thought he was a joke in TFA but he has an enjoyable dangerous gravitas in TLJ. His is the most charismatic performance in the movie. I'll miss that and really wished they had told me more about him.

Is he?

Fan rumors is that the SNOKE in the throne room was a combination hologram/force projection (not the real/physical body).

Unlike Luke, whose force projection was directly tied into his physical body (so when the force projection DIED, his physical body died too), Snoke's mastery with projections/holograms was not directly tied into each other.

For the fact he does not see anyone directly, why would that change in "his throne room"?

It was all an illusion.

For all we know, his real life size could be as small or even smaller than Yoda's. With all the talk that his real size was BIG, maybe, as misdirection is all the rage in this new trilogy, maybe Snoke's real size is too.

So the misdirection of Snoke's "Death" seems highly likely, IMO.

Totally. This also fits in nicely with the fan theory that Snoke is really Leia, who fell to the darkside long ago and has mastered the sneaky use of the force to project Snoke as an alter ego so she could destabilize the New Republic and, at the same time, hide by pretending to oppose it. The ultimate fake-out. Also explains how she was able to keep Ren from firing on the bridge just by adopting a meaningful look.

Leia is Snoke! Right.... Whoevers concocting this crap? Thinking this deep into it? Is just wasting their brainpower.
But hey, you gotta fill the internet with something besides cat videos & porn.

As for Leia stopping him from firing? No she didn't. The scene was a basic set up of "Having killed his father last episode, will Kylo now actually pull the trigger on his mother?" Ooh, the suspense.
He sees his chance. She senses it coming. Ooh, the suspense.
In the end he can't do it - presumably this is to show us that he isn't all bad yet.

I think it's more echoing a personality trait of his grandfather. The death of Anakin's mother is what helped his descent into Vader.

With all of the attempting to emulating Anakin, I think he's succeeding in a few areas. And this is one of them. He might not even realize he's picking up Anakin's core personality traits, rather than the persona everyone knew as Vader.
