And my point is that there is more to TTRPG publishing than D&D, and it would certaintly help if you expanded your horizons past them so you could look past your own nose.

My vision is perfectly fine - I have a WFRP4 game ongoing for instance.

Why would you assume I couldn't look past D&D games or confuse a lack of vision for me reminding everybody for the true state of affairs in the ttrpg business? Unless your purpose isn't really to discuss "standards in ttrpgs" and instead to make personal insults, I mean.

D&D *is* and *sets* the standard when it comes to ttrpgs...

D&D has usually dominated the market, yes, but it's not setting standards. Other than its very first release, which was new and original, the game has been conservative and safe. D&D is like a family restaurant. There's not going to be any surprises on the menu, and everyone eats there.

Other rpgs are going to stick close to this design style, or go off in much more innovative directions, or somewhere in between. This is great for the hobby. PF doesn't stray far, and having one book instead of two seems a pretty tiny thing to quibble about. D&D really is in the minority here.
