Casters have to be more powerful because X yeh end of day exausted with not a single slot available that feather fall is wasted boo hooo hooo.

Given a full day of adventuring, the limitation on spell slots makes using spells very dicey (as it were), particularly when the spells that solve Skill challenges come with dangerous complications (such as Knock).

I've seen Matt Mercer (basically the Pope of D&D) allow stunting like that.

The system is open to free-form play, and provides an elegant, universally applicable system for adjudication: anything else is a table/DM issue.

He'll let Acrobatics trained characters do some crazy things: gating by Proficiency is a good tool as well.

To duplicate the very very least of spells you have to get past the guy who thinks its way too wuxia and even if not its then probably an off the charts difficulty (and you know it) requiring huge amounts of bonuses to even have what will turn out to be a bad chance, most likely to fail, unless you are epic. Yeh epic character duplicates level one spell news at 11.
