Map Suggestions

Greetings all!

I would like to design a series of stock maps and would love to hear your suggestions in that respect!

The map series will be a module in design and can be plugged into an existing campaign.

Your help here is appreciated and thank you in advance for your help.

What genre were you considering? Fantasy? SciFi? Modern?

For me personally, modern battle maps are hard to come by. There are fantasy battle maps everywhere, fewer sci-fi ones, and even fewer modern.

That’s why I asked. Completely agree with you - the fantasy genre is pretty saturated. I’ve looked for maps for Gamma World and (believe it or not) Street Fighter and couldn’t find much. Another map I’ve looked for? a Generational Space Ship for a one-shot of Metamorphosis Alpha.

Thank you very much for your insight. Modern Day battle maps would be interesting to develop for sure, such as urban locations, shopping malls, superstore, small towns, etc.

I think that's pretty well served already! I've probably got a hundred wizard tower maps.

I see, we have a really cool idea for one though involves time portals and such. I also have on the drawing board a sci-fi map of a stronghold for a galactic villain/gangster type, perhaps that should be considered? Hmm

Just to clarify guys, I make cartography maps for DM's, GM's and developers, not the printable table maps.

By the latter, do you mean the tactical or battle maps we use for minis? (While the former referred to full maps like an entire wizard’s tower)

I was referring to the latter. Again, it’s harder to find good (full) maps for the sci-fi, modern and (I’ll add) post-apocalypse genres.

I’m not really interested in tactical maps as I use eraseable battle maps anyway.
