Unearthed Arcana New Unearthed Arcana: Rune Knight, Swarmkeeper, The Revived

Another new Unearthed Arcana! "In today’s Unearthed Arcana, three classes each receive a playtest option. The fighter gets a Martial Archetype option: the Rune Knight. The ranger gains a Ranger Archetype option: the Swarmkeeper. And the rogue acquires a Roguish Archetype option: the Revived."

Leatherhead

Possibly a Idiot.
After watching the Rune Knight Video by dndbeyond, I am sad they scrapped the Giant Soul Sorcerer and that this is the new take on that concept. Don't get me wrong I like a lot the Rune Knight but wish there was room for both.

It's not that they didn't have room for more subclasses, the problem is just like they said in the video:

You can make a Sorcerer Origin give Ostorian(Giant) Magic, or you can make a Sorcerer Origin Smash stuff like a Giant, but you just don't have enough subclass features for one Origin to do both.

What I liked most about Giant Soul Sorcerer abilities keying off of Constitution. If you want to be a good Giant guy you had to be tough.

I hope to see that come around again
I could see this being repurposed for a Wild Dragonmark* Sorcerer. You can use your constitution instead of charisma for spell DCs and attack rolls, "upcasting" your spells whilst doing so. However you take physical damage when you do.

* Even though based on Eberron lore I don't see it being a problem dropping it into other settings.
