I have searched, and I didn't find information about the kharga.

They look like the back end of a rocket, with the mouth of a lamprey. They also swim through solid rock.

My dad once encountered a school of them back when he played 1e. He thought they were possibly the stupidest things his first DM ever threw at the party.

That's rad! Nice to have some old Fiend Folio monsters back (I mean beyond the standard Githyanki and Slaad, of course!)

Did this need Mordenkainen's name on it? Hasn't he already got a Tome of Monsters? To avoid confusion, couldn't this have been put under someone's else's name, or drop it entirely?
I suppose this way a search for one will turn up the other, maximizing visibility and potentially increasing sales. And since it's for charity, I don't begrudge it.

Hmm, aren't the needlefolk already merged into blights in 5E? (Which I thought was a good idea when I saw it.)

Still, a lot of good stuff in here. Do these ever get a POD option? The Eye of Fear and Flame is a great monster, for instance. And is the fog giant the first true giant added to 5E since the Monster Manual?

If this is the volume 1 then I guess we will see the volumen 2, and maybe later a Fiendish Folio compilation.

When the ethergaunts? They are too cool to be forgotten.

I'm absolutely delighted to see these creatures reappear for 5E, and also enormously pleased by the f-bomb in the introduction. That's how I feel about cancer and other serious illnesses, too, so I'm right there with Mr Mearls.
