At the opposite spectrum, my son and a friend last week were rolling their first-ever characters for D&D and the friend rolled a 3 (4d6 drop 1). Despite being an old-school 3d6-in-order kind of guy, I took pity on him and let him reroll.

Jonathan isn't a random we've interacted before.

And you might need to met more women. She's very thick skinned.
Your response is very civilized. So good for you, truly. And I'm glad your wife has the force of personality to handle this sort of clownish behaviour. Bottom line though... the original comment was extremely creepy. This hobby unfortunately attracts men who for whatever reason don't get the opportunity/don't know how to interact with women. And end up saying moronic stuff like the OP did.

I am the OP.

People don't always agree with me here and that's fine I try not to make it personal or take things personally.

Might also be cultural it's fairly relaxed here.

When I said OP, I was referring to Richards. As in the OP of the comment in question. Not likely a cultural difference, I'm Canadian.

I'm pretty sure not many women would feel genuinely relaxed in an environment where guys say things like Richards did. If he knows your wife well enough to joke around like that, great. That's awesome, honestly. He can do it outside the bounds of a public forum though.

She laughed just showed her.
My wife would find that hilarious too.

In 3E, there was a minimum value for your total roll; lower than that and you rerolled. I twice played a character who was exactly at said minimum; the dice gods are not my friends
