I may not ever run a session in this setting or get the chance to play in it, but the art already looks really cool and it might be worth owning and reading just as a mine for cool ideas. The monsters especially; I'm always on the lookout for new monster ideas, and cultures that I'm not familiar with are always a fun way to get inspiration. Coming with fun, colorful fantasy art depicting the monsters is an added bonus that I don't usually get when I'm trawling Wikipedia's mythology section or reading through compilations of fairy tales in the library.

because why not

It would be nice to assume we have reached the point where the artwork for a project would at a minimum show the diversity of the setting it's supposed to cover. It would be weird to put out a product like this without showing what the men look like in these cultures. I assume the finished product will show both genders. I didn't see any there but on the artist's page there were some pieces depicting "African" males and they were quite well done.
