For Paladin: Brienne of Tarth is the best I've seen lately. Superman, for a modern setting, is also very Paladinic. And of course Lancelot, the original.

For Rangers: absolutely shocked not to see Robin Hood (or any of the Merry Men) on that list. Also could easily include Tauriel (sp?) from The Hobbit movies; and Legolas of course; these two Elves aren't Rangers in the LotR universe but in a game sense they look more than close enough for me.

I knew I was missing the completely obvious lol. This is why I make submissions public before posting the poll lol. I know my own faults ;)

I am still trying to figure out which of these lists Vin Diesel's main character from The Last Witchhunter would fit.

As mentioned upthread, I put him as a warlock. seemed the best fit. And there are fewer warlocks, so if I can beef up the options there, win win.

Optimus and Lancelot for me.

For rangers...
Rangers are magical dangnabbit

Tommy Oliver (MMPR)

Aquaman (Whatever movie Aquaman was in)

Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters)

The next poll is rangers. I'm probably gonna need some help here with examples, particularly from anime. Here is what I have so far:

Atreyu (Never Ending Story)

Aragorn (Lotr)

Cyclopes (Krull)

Dar (Beastmaster)

Eric the Huntsman (Snow White and the Huntsman)

Hank (D&D cartoon)

Deedlit (Lodoss War)

Mani (Brotherhood of the Wolf)

Natty Bumppo (Last of the Mohicans)

Daniel Boone (Daniel Boone, trailblazer)

Johnathon Knox (Shoot to Kill)

Edit The last two, I feel I need to add for completionist, but I don't feel comfortable doing so. I'd rather have examples where native americans weren't whitewashed or treated badly in the films of the characters. I mean, Chingachgook was also a ranger, but his role was much smaller than Daniel Day Lewis's, and Magua was more of a fighter/assassin than a ranger. So I'm totally open for positive native American representations. Please help me out here.
Faramir from LOTR probably qualifies as a Ranger, as well.
