There is also a staggering strike but I am certain pushing an enemy 5 feet is just not worth it and might not have been in 4e either.

OK lunge attack I think sucks tbh... what if your sudden movement has some other effect... like depriving enemies nearby of their reaction (ie their mouths drop) and giving the attacker some bonus to hit (not on the order of precise attack maybe just +2) or something else... I mean that might be nasty the lunge attack becomes a set up for a hit and run combo

And yeh its definitely not just enabling that Warlord leader type after all a Champion with Berserk attack with Extreme Exertion or Brash Maneuvering as options I am thinking might be pretty damn badass.

I am a bit anti using equipment to differentiate too much but.... what if item limit of maneuvers kick off at level 15 or the like.
