WotC "D&D's Best Year Yet"

darjr

I crit!
I dint know what the problem is? I’ve been 45 for the last ten years, five of which have been in the last two months.

Anyway during a disaster of epic proportions D&D is still at a sales rank of 183 on Amazon. A few years ago I wouldn’t have believed that rank, not this far out of its release, doubly so during an economic meltdown and pandemic.

Yeah, it is quite likely that D&D has its 7th straight year of growth, while unfortunately the FLGS suffer

Everybody is buying it from Amazon right now. Game stores are closed.

Gaming is fun, and fun is for everyone
I'm curious why they sent this out to these media now. Is there some event they have this infographic prepared for? Are they building up for a release announcement soon?

I'm very lucky as well that my FLGS is also "open" in the same sense - they do mail delivery and curbside pickup. They are also able to do some limited special orders; though they have fewer distributors to work with, they are not completely cut off. I expect to continue patronizing them as much as I am able as this continues. My last order was Laeral Silverhand's Explorer Kit and DCC RPG's The Chained Coffin.

My FLGS isn’t closed! In fact I preordered the Thanos book from them to get the %50 DnDBeyond discount.

Also just picked up King of Tokyo Black Edition from them.

Sure it’s curbside only pickup but they are very busy.
