Hard to say.

Gen X is in power uncertain places and they seem to be doing better.

They benefitted from the last fumes of the 60s. Most of my friends seem to be keeping their jobs.

They're the ones who are the builders, engineers, etc in essential services. They're also the ones producing and transporting the food.

Zoomers are in the supermarkets and bars those are the jobs that will get hit the hardest. Boomers are often in pensions and right now busy hiding.

A lot of zoomers bubbles are being popped.

90s nihilism has arrived.


Generation X will tell you to F off and give you the finger while doing it. Zoomers will cry or something.

Zoomers gonna get it rough. Gen X was the last hurrah for a bit. GFC plus Covid plus everything else.

We had AIDS, Thatcher/ Reaganomics and the Challenger disaster, and nothing else good. The Boomers at least got free love and the Apollo project to go along with the Vietnam war and the Cuban missile crisis.

We didnt even have the internet or mobile phones back then. At least VCR's came in at the back end of the 80's, and it was the golden age of action films. Die Hard, Commando, Predator, Terminator etc. So that's something. The cynicism and disenfranchisement of the time also led to musical expressions of that anger and disillusionment. Rap, Grunge and Metal largely kicked off in the 80's.

Ah the 80's. What a time to be alive. No wonder we're a bunch of largely cynical loners.

Ive been hit in the head before but no one has ever managed to land a blow to my face. As a result, im still adorable. Im hoping gen z produces some good sluggers. Maybe i can show them my soon to be "old man strength" in a fun row and finally join the "cold steak on the face" club.
