Early this week, WotC announced on Twitter that today there would be some kind of announcement on their Twitch channel. Those who heard that announcement and tuned in were treated to an announcement that the new storyline will be announced at a live event in June.

The press release announcing the impending announcement also mentions a new setting, as well as the storyline, so it sounds like it might not be set in the Forgotten Realms (or maybe is in a new region - to 5E - of the Realms, such as Icewind Dale). The adventure and the setting might be the same thing, or they might be completely different things. Recently, WotC has released a bunch of settings: Eberron, Ravnica, Wildemount, and the upcoming Theros.

Fans of D&D will learn all about the new setting and storyline

The new storyline specifically will be revealed at 12pm PST (8pm GMT) on Thursday, June 18th.

Other names involved include Felicia Day, Deborah Ann Woll, Amy Acker, David Harbour, Matthew Lillard, and more.

Everything's Fine
There was, I didn't want to invoke it however as it could very well bring this topic to a big MLP discussion, which I didn't really want to have...
Are you suuuure you dont' want to talk about how to mechanize Friendship is Magic? (I invite you to my birthday party, I can cast Magic Missile... I let you sleep in the spare room after your big breakup, I can cast Meteor Swarm)

We can talk about how to WEAPONIZE it at least. But only if I can melt dragons with the power of the CARE BEAR STARE!

There was already a leaked MLP product cross over from a pre-covid19 toy fair I believe. It was some pony figures themed to D&D classes if I remember correctly. It was posted on these forums somehwere.
There's a new collector's line of Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, Transformers and D&D ponies coming. The D&D one will include a D20 and a DM's screen. No sign of when it goes on sale or how much it'll cost.

I've got a kid transitioning from the Tails of Equestria RPG to D&D, so we'll be getting it. Here's hoping the screen is decent.

It wouldn't shock me if they put out something more, now that it comes to it...

What's Elandria? I know quite a bit about M:tG lore and have never heard of it.
Sorry, I meant Eldraine.

* WoTc would dare to an official IDW comic of a crossover Ghostbuster-Ravenloft.

* A Transfomers d20 and a my little pony d20 could be possible as PC races in a future Unearthed Arcana published the next April 1st.

I think Hasbro would like to make money with Hasbroverse-D&D crossovers, but D&D isn't ready for "guest artists" from modern tech age. This is not like a Deadpool Monopoly or a RISK Transformers. Elements from other franchises (and theses by other companies) would need a good explanation. For example Disney could publish a Spelljammer version of a "old" and almost forgotten sci-fi graphic novel "the sword of the swasbuckler", the sci-fi technology being replaced with magictek. An official Spelljammer version of Star Trek or Star Wars isn't very possible because other companies have the the rights to publish.

I really don't understand this "hostility" "hate" whatever posts..........do people really think the developers are being hostile to you? It's been a VERY LONG time since there was DS content, even longer on Spelljammer. They may have just decided that is the product they want to put out (maybe not now, maybe not ever)....but I doubt it is open hostility to what has come before.....
No, I don't think they are, it just feels like it sometimes.
