We have a new UA release with two subclasses. The College of Spirits Bard is a fortune teller or spirit medium type character with a big random effect table. Meanwhile the Undeath Pact Warlock is a a do-over of the Undying Pact Warlock.
The attempt to make a distinction between “racism“ and “racial prejudice” is an utter BS hypothesis, based on my experiences with my fellow people of color. It’s a distinction with absolutely no difference- bigots of color are perfectly capable of impacting Caucasians negatively in subsections of society within their control.
Even if it were true, one need only look at what happened to some white people in South Africa after the fall of Apartheid for an example that will meet the definition. Regardless of the history, some white farmers- and only white farmers- were driven off of the land they farmed by threats of death...fully backed by elements of the government. Sometimes, initiated by government agents.
And that’s not the only example in the world.
For pointing out the different usage of common terms in academia?
Okay, then.Of course not.
Okay. I only wanted to point out that
Okay, then.
Agreed. Can we please all pull the thread back to discussing the UA release specifically?
We can disagree about the implications of the subclasses - and do go ahead and put your thoughts into the survey when it comes out if you feel strongly - but getting this thread locked is a great way for us not get to talk about these two new subclasses and figure out what's good, what's bad, etc.
That's your choice. Please stop, right there; I do not think that it is up to you.
Expolding alligators. I'm talking about exploding alligators. Wasn't that obvious from my post and laid out clearly? However, there migh actually be a subliminal message in there about exploding iguanas instead of exploding alligators.Sure, but the supposed "different usage of common terms in academia" was not hinted at or illustrated in any way; what are you actually talking about?
That's your choice.
