We have a new UA release with two subclasses. The College of Spirits Bard is a fortune teller or spirit medium type character with a big random effect table. Meanwhile the Undeath Pact Warlock is a a do-over of the Undying Pact Warlock.
They said they were going to put it in the book. Putting a badly designed system into a book is better than to go back on your word.
They haven't tested through UA, but they could do it with their own playtest groups, like they've done before. The Wildemount spells, subraces and subclasses were never playtested in UA, but they were published.Weeeelll, that's debatable. They haven't tested any Race options since 2018, but have published untested options, do maybe Race (or a replacement concept) doesn't need public feedback anymore.
I think this is clearly an oversight, but what think you?
I actually would prefer seeing the Bard subclass be for Wizard with some changes kind of a potentially good necromancer/seer type. Its just the feeling I get from it.

Not. Very. Subtle.Protect the Weak
-Tenets of the Oath of Devotion (PHB).
Why only the weak? Isn't it unfair for the paladin not to offer equal protection to the strong?
i really want to make an Undying Warlock/Spirit Bard Abhorsen, tbh.
I’m super confused by you responding to it this way so it must have been a little subtle.Not. Very. Subtle.
