What are your player behavior rules in F2F games?

Yep. There is a truck stop not too far from my house that still has a smoking section, although its closed off from the rest of the restaurant. I was there not long ago and it felt so odd being able to smoke there, think I had about 3 cigarettes while eating breakfast just because I could.

Another question, who remembers McDonalds old coffee stirrers?

White, with the the arcs on top; hadn't thought about those in years.

Not really. Every group I've run since '79 has had similar habits. But a key difference from your experience is that I never game in public.

I expect if we ever did, player behavior would be completely different. But I can't see any reason why we ever would.
I've never had a game group that had indoor horseplay, even at home, even while gaming with stoners as players and the columbian sauna thick enough that the officer called in as unfit to finish shift when we opened the door.

Just not something I nor anyone I've gamed with seems to have been tolerant of.

I guess I've just been lucky to choose and keep the right sort.

I cant imagine ever having a special rule with my friends confined to roleplaying of 'dont punch people in the face, or command your animals to attack them'.

Does that mean that your friends routinely assault each other, and sick their dogs on each other outside of roleplaying games?

Or you just don't have furniture and fixtures that can (or that you care about) being broken. I mean, "Don't play ball in the house," is Brady Bunch level stuff.

I don't host the game, but the host doesn't have cheap furniture. If you have particle board and soft pine stuff, that would indeed be a concern. This does emphasis a valuable lesson in life: always buy quality.

But a more useful thing is to have friends who can take a punch without flying about the room.

Sometimes you just have to put another player in a headlock to stop their character from doing something stupid. But it should be kept to a minimum. ;-)
