There are no rivets in space just as there are no bras in space. Just ask George Lucas.

The first people on the scene were just flying by on a sheep-counting trip, and found something weird in the desert. They weren't journalists, documentary makers, or investigators of weird things in deserts. Comprehensive methodology should not be expected from them.
