Dragon Magazine CD archive.

I have the old Dragon Magazine archive that was sold by TSR. I am wondering where the best place to try and sell it. I am not a historian and frankly have no use for it. Also would like to know what people would thing a fair price for it would be. It has the first 250 issues in PDF format. I no longer have a CD drive to use with so cannot check it out.

Knoble knight has it for 165.

both eBay and Amazon have a new unopened one for $650!!!

$650 is the price when the seller is in no hurry whatsoever and is willing to wait years to maybe snag a chump... or ah... a serious collector. I'd guess that if there are multiple people thinking they can sell it for somewhere in the $160s you can probably get that eventually, though it might take reposting to ebay a few times.

The content seems to all be available for free online which has to drag the price down a bit. Your target audience is people who want digital dragon magazine but would prefer not to get it online (or did not think to make a cursory glace as to whether they could) and who still have a CD-Rom drive on their computer or else people who prize the CD itself as a collectable. So its probably a fairly small community of prospective customers, which is why I would say that even if $165 or whatever is the going price, it would likely take a while for it to go at that price.

Thanks everyone for the input. I will take my time about pricing before I put up somewhere.
Just knowing there is a small market is nice. I was thinking at first it was of no value at all and not a clue of where to sell it.

I was just trying to help. Great points and interesting. What would you expect to be a fair price?

yea, the actual content isn’t what people will buy it for, much like an original wood grain box of D&D, there are other sources.

The physical thing itself is the collectible.

As an aside, if it is the lack of a CD player...you can buy one for under $25/£25, in fact a quick browse showed one that was going for less than £19.99 (doesn't account for taxes) on Amazon even.

Or, you could sell the CD and download all the pertinent PDF's off of Archive.org (if they are still there).

Well, it is just not worth for me at this time. I never used most of the stuff and it is all from 3rd and earlier. I have just spent 4 months worth of allowance setting up so I can start using Fantasy Ground to run a campaign. Spending $25 dollars for something that I might only use once just does not seem worth it.

I don't even remember why a bought or if it was gift way back then. While I enjoy the game, I like 5e far better than all of the previous editions.
