Yes. I was agreeing. Sorry if that wasn't clear.of course. I wan thinking about the "we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here"
Which is fine. That's the point. I created a fantasy fiction completely separate from real life.
So if someone claims I created something resembling real life and its offensive, I will threaten to slap them with my DMG to knock the sense back into them.
Right. Which is why you go into an area overrun with orcs (killing orcs as you go) because you need to stop the BBEG that's behind their latest rampage.of course. I wan thinking about the "we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here"
Sure if they can't prove it.Which is fine.
That means that creating a fictional creature called an "orc" that is always evil is also fine and if someone claims it was created as something resembling real life can I slap them with my Monster Manual?
Is there any other way?Right. Which is why you go into an area overrun with orcs (killing orcs as you go) because you need to stop the BBEG that's behind their latest rampage.
I prefer my phonebook. It is it's only purpose in life for the last 25 years.Sure if they can't prove it.
I prefer the DMG as my whacking book.
I was following your line of thought up to this point. Why are "good" and "evil" rendered useless as concepts if there are not creatures with default evil alignment? If not, then there's no reason to have the concept of "good" or "evil" in the game.
But there have been many, many studies not just of D&D but video games and other popular culture. There is no causal events between violence in games to real world violence.
Phone... Book? Is that like a an eBook or something? [emoji16]I prefer my phonebook. It is it's only purpose in life for the last 25 years.
D&D books are to valuable to be damaged on some thick skull.
