D&D 5E celebrating pride and lgbtq+ players 2021

"To you, the community—we're here, we’re representing, we’re listening, and we’re acting. Yes, Pride month is so much more than rainbow-covered swag. However, our Wizards Pride ERG is excited to include LGBTQIA+ community-specific Wizards items with proceeds going towards the Lambert House, an LGBTQ+ youth center located in Seattle, WA. This is the first year we're rolling out community-specific, and we look forward to your feedback on what you’d like to see in upcoming campaigns (important note: I intentionally didn’t say “next year,” so stay tuned)."

Confirmation that there are 2 Campaign Settings coming THIS year and that their is targeted outreach towards the LGBTQ+ community for these Campaign Settings, which further likely confirms one will be FR because FR has long been the LGBTQ+ supportive setting in D&D going back to Ed Greenwood sneaking in gay characters and making Elminister possibly the most Gender Fluid character in D&D.

I'm not sure that's an entirely accurate inference.

There are multiple Campaigns coming this year, sure. That's confirmed. But it doesn't say "Settings". We could see multiple Campaigns/Adventure Paths released in one year, like we did with Curse of Strahd and Storm King's Thunder back in 2016. Or Elemental Evil and Rage of Demons in 2015.

It's also specifically "Feedback on what you'd like to see". Emphasis mine. Which kind of screams "LGBTQIA Targeted Survey", to me, rather than any specific campaign setting.

"....On upcoming campaigns" context is important here, they want specific input on upcoming campaigns from certain communities.

And if they meant adventures, they'd say adventures. This is something separate from Chris Perkins Summer adventure.

If they meant settings they'd say Settings.

Campaign can be several of one and half of the other. Therein lies my personal uncertainty.

That said, maybe they're bumping next year's campaign up to this one. I acknowledge that is a possibility.

They don't refer to adventure books as campaigns, they call them adventures, they do however refer to campaign settings books with the word campaign.

Whoops, hold on, context is important: "Campaign" here pretty clearly refers to charitable drives by WotC, not product at all.

Six months from now that distinction will be forgotten and all people will remember is that there are two campaigns coming in 2022 that are Alphabet friendly
