D&D 5E Ray Winninger mentions third project!

WotC's Ray Winniger has confirmed that another D&D release, by James Wyatt, will be released in between Witchlight (September) and Strixhaven (November). Strixhaven was Amanda Hamon's project, while Witchlight is Chris Perkins'. That assumes he's not referring to the Feywild accessory kit in September. Yes, WILD BEYOND THE WITCHLIGHT is the [Chris Perkins] story product I referenced in our dev blog. STRIXHAVEN is [Amanda Hamon's] project. We have not yet announced [James Wyatt's] project, which releases between WITCHLIGHT and STRIXHAVEN.

Why did we announce STRIXHAVEN so early? Pretty simple--there was no way to release the STRIX-related Unearthed Arcana without letting the cat out of the bag.

You'll learn a lot more about all of these products at D&D Live on G4, July 16 and 17. And yes, there is still a little surprise or two ahead.

@LuisCarlos17f I would encourage you to not use terms you know are offensive to people of Asian cultures, even if you say it's "politically incorrect."
That was the name of the book Wyatt worked on.....not just a term thrown out, btw.

I think it is a box with actual dragons in it. They just need the eggs to hatch, sometime in July....hence the delay.

Possibly a Idiot.

This was a wise move.

The School of Invention subclass from the Three Subclasses UA packet totally bombed, partially because nobody had a clue what it was trying to represent.

But more importantly the best fighter subclass ever, the Brute, was part of that packet. I still mourn for it's loss.

If it's not Planesjammer, I'll be absolutely shocked if we don't get some kind of Dragonlance related book, that isn't the new novel, but who knows.

The unannounced book is almost certainly what the two dragon themed UA are part of. They don't fit either Witchlight or Strixhaven. So if we're getting those and (by implication) gem dragons and more, the safe bet is a 5e version of a Draconomicon or Council of Wyrms, though undoubtedly under an new book title. Gem dragons don't fit Dragonlance so I consider that an extreme dark horse.

Concur. I'd like planejammer, but I expect a dragon book.
