D&D 5E Ellywick Tumblestrum's Ballads of the Forgotten Realms (hypothetical FR Setting Book)

Tales and Chronicles

Jewel of the North, formerly know as vincegetorix
I winder if we might see experiments of cross-Class Subclasses, similar to the Strixhaven UA

My idea for that would be ''faction'' archetypes:

Zhent Knave (fighter/rogue/barbarian)
Red wizard (wizard, sorcerer, warlock)
Harper Agent (bard/ranger/rogue/fighter)
Dragon cultist (cleric/warlock/wizard)
Gauntlet Crusader (cleric/paladin/fighter)

etc

I'd prefer Bubba Gump's Jaunt Around Faerun, to be honest.

Anyhow, check out this map, which is based on the one from the 3E FRCS:

So the continents would be:

Faerun/Kara-Tur/Zakhara/Ama Basin
Osse
Anchorome/Maztica
Katashaka

Presumably they are based on Eurasia/Africa, Australia, North and South America, respectively. I don't know if large islands like Aurune count as continents or not.

There's been literally nothing on Osse and Katashaka, as far as I know. I don't know if they are Greenwood's or added on later (I assume the latter).
Katashaka is mainly known as the original homeland of the human population of Chult, before they migrated under the guidance of some couatls. There have been a few other minor mentions (a few characters are mentioned or assumed to be from there), but basically it's still a blank slate, outside of being based on sub-Saharan Africa.

Osse is the origin of a character in the novel Lady of Poison, who is definitely based off an indigenous Australian. Beyond that, pretty much nothing has been written on it.

I have no idea where they got the Land of the Flying Monkeys from.

There is a little bit known about Osse and Katashaka. The Tabaxi (Chultans, not the catfolk) are from Katashaka, they are immigrants to Faerun guided their by Ubtao, Primordial God of Chult. A single character from Osse featured as one of the good guys in a novel from the Priests series (great novel too of a great series), so we know it's fantasy Australia (might be fantasy Polynesia as well, not sure), he had a musical instrument that doubled as club in combat.

Edit: Demetrios ninja'd me.

So it's not just a one-and-done? This whole Ellystick Trundlebum business is going to be a thing now?

sigh

Ok.

Yeah the made that clear, she's going to be in AFR and Witchlight and more they said. I think she and her fellow new Planeswalkers will use used to create a metastory D&D side akin to how planeswalker in MtG do, something like the Gatewatch and Kenrith twins.

Red Wizards are always Wizards, Thay is very unkind to Sorcerers, your lucky if they just kill or exile you, if your unlucky they experiment on you first.

Personally, I think it should be much like the 3e FRCS (but updated). Update some of the subclasses and backgrounds from SCAG, add some new ones. Put in some monsters in, maybe some feats, and some magic items. Give a page each of info on the other continents.
