Cowboy Bebop live-action series

As a long-time fan of the original anime series, I'm interested to see how this one plays out. Judging by some of the images in the trailer / title sequence, it looks like it'll be a re-tread of the original series rather than brand new stories, but it'll be interesting to see whether they bring anything new to them aside from real actors.

They copied the intro from the anime quite well, but I can't shake the impression that it looks a bit cheap. Like some sort of fan film with cosplayers. I hope I'm wrong.

I was getting more of a Sin City vibe, but in color.

I am not a huge anime fan but Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorite anime series. And it's about the only one I can think of that I absolutely loved the music for. I'm looking forward to this adaptation.

I felt like they added a 70's grindhouse style to it. I've chosen to be cautiously optimistic. If they can't do Cowboy Bebop, One Piece is going to be a disaster.

There's a horrible track record for anime to liveaction adaptions, but I really hope they get this right.

Live adaptations of Anime was a mixed bag. Whether it's the quality of the production or the expectations of the fans, no one ever agrees on choices of the adaptation. Having said that, I've already written this off because Netflix.

I don't think I've ever seen a liveaction adaption of any anime that I liked, and that has me a little bit worried about Cowboy Bebop.

I dont knock it, until I rock it. Its true, Netflix these days puts out a lot of crap, but they have done a few good things too. I'll wait and see before writing anything off.
