Also the term "race" still applies to the player options within a lineage, so they are using the term as intended.I expect that they use race because the vast majority of players still use race. They aren't going to want to confuse people in the middle of a survey.
That's what I picked!LOL Mine is almost the same. Human, Elf and Aasimar.
Hmmm. I havent done the survey yet. I would have picked Homebrew.Yeah, that's what happened to me. I just got the "why do you homebrew" set of choices.
Me three.Yeah, that's what happened to me. I just got the "why do you homebrew" set of choices.
what's your favorite "RACE" to play.....do they know they don't use that word anymore?
Both are wrong. In 5e so far, Lineages are things that you can be born as (like a race), but also something you can become. Custom Lineage, Dhampir, Reborn, and Hexblood are all things that you can become. Aarakocra, Tortles, Gnomes, and so on are all races, because they're all something that you're born as, while a Lineage is more a "mutation" that you can either be born with or get later in life. Also the term "race" still applies to the player options within a lineage, so they are using the term as intended.
