Elder Thing
1) Warlock
2) Rogue (Thief)
3) 2nd Edition Bard

In my campaigns I make minor adjustments to the Warlock sometimes (giving them the Ritual Spell feat like a Wizard and/or allowing Martial weapons). Even without that, though, I find warlocks to be easily the most interesting and compelling class in 5e.

In second place is the Rogue (Thief), which is just such a ridiculously fun class to play. I generally take the Ritual Caster (Cleric or Druid) feat with them too.

And I really miss the old half-caster Bard, so I pick that for 3rd place. I didn't vote for it in the poll, since the Bard's 5e incarnation just rubs me the wrong way, but I will cry about it here.

Bard, Druid, Warlock - Paladin would be next in 5E classes.

That's kind of amusing because as someone else who loved the 2E Bard, and played it extensively, I love the 5E take on Bards and utterly despised the 3E take (and 3.5E didn't improve it much). The 2E Bard was not a "half-caster" in any real sense due to the XP tables they were frequently not a lot less powerful than a single-class caster and about on-par with a multi-class.

It's interesting to see Wizard as the most popular. I've seen all of one Wizard actually played in 5E. Shows how much table experiences can vary - otherwise this seems pretty in-line with what we've seen.
