Well, those are the ones where we actually see the Jedi as an institution and not as just two dudes.
There's the Knights of the Old Republic games. Not movies, I realize, but infinitely more canon in my eyes than the prequels.

We could even bring that full circle back to this thread, because there is some very serious mind-tampering in those games. I won't spoil it though, in case you've never experienced KOTOR.

I could be mistaken, but didn't Disney issue a statement a few years back that actually stated the prequels weren't considered official? Although I think that statement also included KOTOR as non-canon, so, shrug.

KOTOR isn't canon anymore, but the prequels are.

I do think the clones were a bad idea since they make the Republic and the Jedi look absolutely terrible, but they're pretty ingrained in the canon rn with the movies and the Clone Wars tv show.

Fair enough. I still refuse to acknowledge the prequels as canon though (personally speaking, of course).

My wife actually did a rewatch of all the Star Wars movies last year. I happily watched all the movies with her, except for the prequels, which I told her she was welcome to watch without me. She doesn't mind them as much, but I'm a bit older than her. She was a kid when the prequels came out, while I was a teenager (and even so, she agrees that the prequels aren't particularly good, she just doesn't mind watching them).

The other way around.

The prequel movies are canon, all the old extended universe (hundreds of novels, RPG books, comic books, video games) are not.

This was mostly to free up the writing teams for the last three movies to make the continuing nineology and for the from-then-on Disney expansion stuff (clone wars, etc.).

Dismissing the question out of hand as if it was self-evidently ridiculous doesn't change the fact that it isn't.
I tried to point out that the its a more nuanced situation than the constant corner cases presented as a false dilemma over and over in this thread.
I find it a strange notion that psychic assault (using Suggestion to make an enemy flee, charming a captive into telling you the info you urgently need) is always, invariably, no exceptions ever ever, much worse than physically murdering or brutalising them. For me, it's very much a case by case thing.
I never said enchantment was worse than murder, in fact, if you reread the comment, you'll see its in agreement with your statement.

They did lead an army of 10-year old slaves with mind control chips in their brains.

Edit: Although, I'm not sure if everyone knew about the chips. The child slaves part stands though.
Accelerated clone doesn’t really necessarily equate to child, and the Republic and Count Dooku are responsible for the clone army, not the Jedi.

I believe the movie shows the clones specifically at the physically a child stage going through training/learning/indoctrination(?) to prep for being adult soldiers in the army. Throughout their entire accelerated life cycle they seem to be part of the army.

Also the jedi fully use the clones as their army with the jedi as the commanders up until order 66 or whatever the number was.

It has been a while since I saw it though.
