D&D 5E Spells that have disappeared...

For some reason, the old spell Sticks to Snakes popped into my head and of course, it isn't in 5E (maybe not 3E, I really don't remember). It got me thinking about what other spells might not be in 5E that people recall fondly from prior editions?

For me, StS was a great spell and just fun to use. Sure, not awesome, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Are there any spells from prior editions you wish were still around in 5E?

I always had a soft spot for Sepia Snake Sigil and Guardian Wyvern Watch, but they have equivalents that would probably make them redundant.

Warp wood is a spell that's missing from 5e that could be brought back. I've actually updated enty of spells from earlier editions. Gives a lot more variety of spells, especially invocations of different elements for elementally themed casters.

This one is actually still there as a cantrip for druids, warlocks, and artificers. Didn't make the PHB, but has been added since.

Read Magic

"Back in my day, wizards needed a spell to read other wizard's books and scrolls... Hey, get off my lawn!"

I added it back into my spell lists for my current games.

I miss Taunt, but mostly I miss the image of a wizard hurling a slug at somebody to make them angry.

I miss the way stoneskin used to work. It is still a spell now, but it has never been taken in my games since 4e came out. Back in 2e we used to have a 'plink' sound which meant there was a stoneskin and you just did no damage on that attack.
Now it is a 4th level spell that grants resistance to non-magical weapons.

Glassteel. Volley, even though it sucked. Combine. The various alignment-based spells in 3e (holy word, dictum, chaos hammer, etc).
