apparently, we have not had an unearthed arcane for 6 months anyone got thoughts on why as I always liked getting a new UA?
I'm guessing they may be working on the updated 5e to be released in 2024.apparently, we have not had an unearthed arcane for 6 months anyone got thoughts on why as I always liked getting a new UA?
Turnabout is fair play...I'm guessing they may be working on the updated 5e to be released in 2024.
There is a lot of creative content with Level Up and the DMs Guild. Is Wizards allowed to poach ideas?
That's probably it. They have a design spec for this and are working on it. I wonder if that means that mechanically they have a vision and are going ahead with it and don't want to deviate. If so, it highlights a real conundrum -- changing course mid-stream is dangerous for any project, yet at the same time if there's that much lead time (2024!), then the people whom you are hoping to please might actually change what they hope to see.I'm guessing they may be working on the updated 5e to be released in 2024.

I think that's right. That's certainly what I would do.I suspect they're regrouping and trying to decide what the anniversary edition will even look like and how much they change. They have to be careful because this edition continues to sell well and they don't want to screw it up. They have a lot of feedback and current content to review.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing private playtests and reviews, just being hush-hush about it.
That includes artwork as well? (asking because of the Expanded Monster Manuals).Once you publish something on DMsGuild, WotC can use it if they want to.
