Ya done (censored) up. Manga is technically books. And I got to read old manga in the old video where my grandfather bought his old kung fu videos.

so
Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama in the inspiration of how I see the Monk class. And it's why I am forever disappointed with it.

I have read hundreds of scifi/fantasy books.

For D&D gaming, I find scifi/fantasy via tv and movies far more inspiring.

I would query "why limit it to literature?" There are TV shows and movies that have been as bigger influence on my D&D.

But literature only, I go for Pratchett, Terry: Discworld series.

Here ya go!

Appendix N is traditionally books and that's where my head was when I started this thread ::: shrug :::
Times change.

Surely more people have seen the Tolkien movies than read the books.

People are even using phrases like "postliteracy".

This is 2020s. Not 1920s.

Encouraging imagination and patience don't seem bad to me ;-). Neither do movies.

Anyway, the other post is still waiting for its first addition...
