So, D&D Beyond has a survey linked up about the upcoming D&D movie:

It's weird how the survey has the wrong time periods listed for the release of their own games.

1974-1983 (advanced)
1984-1995 (around the release of the 2nd edition)
1996-2003 (around the release of the 3rd edition)
2003-2008 (around the release of the 3.5 edition)
2009-2014 (around the release of the 4th edition)
2015-2019 (around the release of the 5th edition)
2020-Today (during the 5th edition)

Well, they don't say "during" they say "around." I started with 3rd, but I was aware of D&D broadly speaking since the late 90's as a kid, through video games and magazines..

I just took it. I wonder if all the questions were actually about the movie and npt about interest in D&D elements in general.

I mean, maybe it's about knowing what invested D&D beyond users want to see from the toy line tied to the movie. Who knows?

A lot of stuff about Neverwinter and the Red Wizards of Thay in here...

Some of these questions were oddly specific. Could have saved a lot of time by just adding a box 'not a Forgotten Realms player' so people who have no idea where any of those locations are can skip about 30 questions.

I was just thinking that myself. I wonder what the purpose of the survey is? (I haven't taken it myself, so I don't know what the thrust of the questions is).
